Tim Bonython and Kneeboarding?!!!

WHAT??
yeah my friend from Texas is a kneeboarder and showed me this video... Then i realized it was shot by my friend Tim Bonython..
I had the pleasure of working with Tim Bonython in Fiji during the Roxy Pro events...Many an hour in the judges tower or baking in the sun on the reef at low tide shooting the girls.. . he taught me a lot about traveling and shooting in remote areas and what to expect..
GREAT GUY and friends still to this day and see each other in the islands occasionally..
THat was my first real introduction to knee boarding. Tim at Cloudbreak....
it was about 4-6ft and some of the barrels were more almond then round.... tim would tuck himself in there and come out on a few sick ones.... Thats when i understood what the boards were doin and how they were ridden....

Good times.... Great waves.... got a 6ft one that made the who trip... plus i was paid!! haha...

Jackson Hole!!!!

Good times... Park is FUN and got some larger trannies in the big bowl... I wanst really ready to get coping that big today after driving all nite.. but i got a few days here.... Park is fun and flowy... I actually had a really good street skate day...

Wallie manual pad is fun and even feebled it.... 50-50 the box on the hip was fun... Havent done that in a while..
stoked... Met this guy Mike and a couple others who were cool..

I guess all the boys show up at 8pm...

Mike at Board Room Skate and snow shop is cool and sells shave ice... Much needed after the sesson...
The ramp is wet but maybe tomorrow....Can you find the ORIGINAL SNURFER on the wall??

Coffee Wagon

Got my first cup of coffee in a week or so... felt good without it all week..
maybe its because it got me TOO amped and i would puke... or maybe it has been too hot to have coffee then go to the skatepark and teach 2 hours in the hot ass sun then off to surf camp in the hot ass sun....
ugh.....
anywho... i drank a big one this morning and now i am editing photos....

Merrik was in The Basics of Skateboarding skateboard camp this week. He has had a skateboard since he was 3 but I have not been very encouraging to get him on it. I haven’t wanted to see him fall or get his fingers run over while he rides it on his belly. So, the fact of his intimidation and hesitancy to jump right in and start shredding could be mostly my fault. He had the most patient, encouraging and conscientious coach you could ask for in a first-time skateboard camp experience. I am so grateful to Coach Jon Steele for being nothing short of amazing with my son and all the other kids in the camp.

Summer Sucks!!

Everyone wants it to be summer.... but guess what?! its HOT damn HOT!!!
skatepark is crowded... surf is crowded.... I want some big stuff to keep kooks outta the water.. hahaha..
Its all good... my skate groms are RAD and LOVED their goodie bags... haha... GOOD TIMES...

So i treated myself to Sushi yesturday as I have been working hard and felt i deserved a good meal...
9 Style sushi is awesome!! the Scallop roll and the Hawaiian which is spicy tuna and poki on top! YUM!

Yesterday I had a totally stoked day surfing! Thanks for the info about on a rainy day head to a golf course and shred the water traps and muddy grass!!! Still trying to convince my mom to let me buy a surfboard or skimboard(couldn't find one in the gift shop). How are the pics going? Well, I hope you surf, skim, and skate all around.
